Biography
Martin Muñoz
I was born in Ecuador in May 2005, where I discovered my love for music at a very young age. When I was 12, I found a violin stored in my room, and that moment sparked my interest in the instrument. I began learning on my own until my parents enrolled me with a specialized teacher to support my development.
Over time, my passion for music deepened, bringing out new emotions and sensations. Although the journey was challenging at first, I persisted—and eventually realized I had fallen in love with the violin. Since then, I have dedicated myself to it every day.
I’ve had the opportunity to perform alongside renowned musicians and take part in various concerts and cultural events in my home country, sharing my music in both formal venues and outdoor spaces.
I’m deeply grateful to my parents, siblings, and family for their unconditional support, as well as to my friends and everyone who has encouraged me along the way. I owe special thanks to my teacher, Magister María de Lourdes Flores, who has played a key role in my growth as a violinist.
Now living in Vancouver, Canada, I continue to pursue my studies in both technology and music. I am currently preparing to obtain the Level 8 certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), which represents an important milestone in my musical journey. I blend classical traditions with modern styles, performing in local venues and open spaces. My goal is to share the magic of the violin with new audiences and create unforgettable moments through every performance.
“The violin is not only a musical instrument, it becomes an instrument to express feelings and emotions through melodious sound.”
